Génesis
Génesis is 3 years old and was born in Costa Rica with a congenital liver disease.

In 2015, the first transplant for a Costa Rican patient was materialized. She was attended in the medical facilities of the Policlínica Metropolitana in the city of Caracas, Venezuela. This is the place where the Metropolitan Program of Liver transplantation has existed for 15 Years.

Genesis a 3-year-old girl who was born in Costa Rica and who was suffering from a congenital liver disease, underwent a liver transplant intervention from a living donor the september 21st, 2015. The donor was her mother, who´s liver was partially extracted. The surgery was a complete success for both.

Currently, Genesis is a girl who enjoys an excellent quality of life, both she and her mother recovered satisfactorily from surgery. They now face the future with optimism with this new opportunity that was materialized thanks to the Metropolitan liver transplant Program implemented by FundaHígado America in these Latin American and Caribbean countries.
